A good matchmaker interviews you in depth, recruits and screens candidates, and arranges introductions, often with feedback after each date. Some work mostly from their own member database. Others actively search for people who fit what you want.

Expect anywhere from a few thousand dollars to much more for a package, depending on how many introductions you get and how much personal searching is involved. Prices vary widely, so get everything in writing.
Questions to ask before you sign
- How many introductions are included, and over what time period?
- How many active members fit my age range and what I'm looking for, in Las Vegas?
- Do you screen candidates (ID, background checks)?
- What happens if I don't like the introductions?
- What's the refund and cancellation policy, in writing?
- Can I talk to past clients?
Red flags
- High-pressure sales or "today only" pricing.
- Vague answers about how many people match what you want.
- No written contract or refund terms.
- Guarantees of marriage or a relationship.
Is it worth it?
It can be if you're very busy, value privacy, or have tried apps and are done with them. If budget matters, try a paid, relationship-focused site like eharmony or Match first.
